2015 Vineman Monte Rio Olympic & Sprint Triathlons:
• Third annual Vineman Monte Rio.
• In 2015 a Sprint distance triathlon will be added to complement the Olympic distance race.
• The Olympic Distance Triathlon will again be a 1.5K Swim, 40K Bike and 10K Run event.
• Monte Rio's old-fashioned summer vacation atmosphere makes this the perfect venue.
Course Information:
Olympic Distance Race Course:
Swim:• The swim takes place in the Russian River just 4 miles downstream from the Vineman 70.3 and Full Vineman races.
Bike:
• Ride through Redwoods, up Austin Creek, along the Russian River with the bike turnaround on the coast in Jenner.
• The newly paved Hwy 116 promises a smooth and fast course.
Run:
• The run course is flat, fast, mostly shaded out-and-back on Moscow Road very much like the old Moscow Road Race 10k course.
Directions:
• Take River Road westbound from Hwy 101.
• Monte Rio is just 4 miles past Guerneville.
