Course Information:
The sprint features a 500-yard swim in a mountain lake, 18.0-mile bike ride through beautiful rolling terrain (all on road) and 3.1-mile run. Participants will be treated to spectacular views as they race to the finish line!
**The water temperature is expected to be between 80 & 84 degrees.
The Rocky Mountain Recreation Area offers many activities for our participants, families and spectators before and after the event. See the Visitor's Guide below for more information.
Rocky Mountain Recreation Area requires a $5 per car parking fee. The race registration fee includes this fee for participants.
Directions from Rome: North on US Highway 27 for 10.4 miles, left on Sike Storey Road 0.4 miles, left on Big Texas Valley Road 8 miles to entrance.

Tri For The Shelter Sprint Triathlon is an event of the RACE Rome racing series. RACE Rome is a non-profit 501 ( c ) 3 organization. RACE Rome is a leader in the movement to help individuals establish life-long health and fitness habits while supporting local charities through outdoor sporting events designed to foster community and develop trail systems through wholesome outdoor competition.
