7th Annual Tri For The Kids Youth Triathlon (Division 6-9 Years Old) : Kids Race
Triathlon : Children ages 6-9 will complete a 50-yard swim in the school’s Huffman Athletic Center swimming pool, a 2.2-mile bike ride on Cave Spring Road (closed to traffic during the race) and a .5-mile run on the campus.
7th Annual Tri For The Kids Youth Triathlon (Division 10-15 Years Old) : Kids Race
Triathlon : Participants ages 10-15 will complete a 100-yard swim, 4.4-mile bike ride and 1-mile run.
7th Annual Tri For The Kids Youth Triathlon (Physically Challenged Division) : Kids Race
Triathlon : Distances are determined by the ability of the child. Race Buddies are available.
7th Annual Tri For The Kids Youth Elite Triathlon : Kids Race
Triathlon : Distances vary upon age.
7th Annual Tri For The Kids Youth Beginner Triathlon : Kids Race
Triathlon : Distances vary upon age.

The event is USAT sanctioned and open to all youth ages 6 to 15.
**Again this year, we have distinguished our categories into elite, beginner and challenger. Each will have its own separate race with juniors and seniors. To be eligible for the elite category, athletes must have completed 3 triathlons. Anyone is eligible for the beginner race- athletes of all abilities and competitiveness are welcome.

Children ages 6-9 will complete a 50-yard swim in the school’s Huffman Athletic Center swimming pool, a 2.2-mile bike ride on Cave Spring Road (closed to traffic during the race) and a .5-mile run on the campus.

Participants ages 10-15 will complete a 100-yard swim, 4.4-mile bike ride and 1-mile run.

There will also be a physically challenged category. These athletes will complete a distance appropriate for each.

Elite races will begin at 1:00 pm on Sun. May 3, 2015, with the senior division first followed by the junior division.
Physically Challenged Race will begin at approximately 2:00.
Beginner races will begin at approximately 3:00.
Packet Pickup and the transition area will open at 11:00 am. on race morning.

Course Information:

The entire race will take place at Darlington's Upper School campus located at 1014 Cave Spring Road. Directions to the campus are on www.darlingtonschool.org.

The route will be limited to Darlington’s Upper School campus and the area of Cave Spring Road between the school and the Boys & Girls Club.

Come train with us in April! Training Schedule will be posted on www.racerome.org website soon!

Finisher medals, t-shirts and goody bags for all participants! (A limited number of scholarships are available)

All proceeds from the race will benefit the The Boys & Girls Club of Rome, GA.

Remember that according to USAT rules, you must race the age you WILL turn in 2015. So, if your birthday is later than our race day, you will still have to race "up". If you will turn 10 on May 4 through December 31, you will have to race as a 10 year old on May 3rd. Also, if you will turn 16 sometime in 2015, you will be too old for our race, but you can race in the other races RACE Rome puts on throughout the year!
