Jo Bryant was a long time working teacher with USD 501 when she was unexpectedly diagnosed with and died from cholangiocarcinoma. During her life and career she touched the lives of thousands of students at both Bishop Elementary and Jardine Middle Schools, family and friends.
As was true of the past two years, all money will go to cholangiocarcinoma research and patient and caregiver support.
It is an out and back course on the paved trail around the northwest side of Lake Shawnee. The trail is wide, but participants will need to stay to the right side once racers begin to return and there is two-way race traffic.
May I run with a jogging stroller? Yes. Registered participants are allowed to use strollers during the event but must line up behind the runners and yield to other racers.
May I walk in the race? Absolutely! This event is open to runners and walkers of all levels. Walkers will line up behind the runners for the start of the race. The course will only be monitored for one hour and 15 minutes, and the Kids Dash will begin at 9:45.
