2011 Greeley Sprint Triathlon:

  • The Greeley Triathlon is a sprint distance race with a 500 yard open water swim, using a time trial start, followed by a 10 mile bike ride and a 5K run.
  • The triathlon is put on by members of the Greeley Traithlon Club.
  • All event proceeds will benefit local youth groups and charities.

    The race is held at Promontory Park in west Greeley, located off Hwy 34 about 7 miles east of I-25.

    Greeley Triathlon 13-15 Year Age Group

  • The Greeley Triathlon is hosting a special 13-15 Year Age Group triathlon for younger competitors.
  • The USAT sanctioned race is held at athlete and spectator friendly Promontory Park in west Greeley.
  • The 13-15 year old triathletes will compete in a 250 meter open water swim, a 5.5 mile bike ride and finish with a 1.5 mile run through Promontory Park.
  • Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers.

  • It is the perfect event and venue for triathlon newcomers and for those who are more experienced.

  • In conjunction, we will be hosting the 2011 USA Triathlon Rocky Mountain Region's Junior Championship for triathletes aged 16 to 23.

  • The race is organized and put on by members of the Greeley Triathlon Club. We are fortunate to have excellent police and volunteer support, which help make this one of the safest and most enjoyable for our athletes.

  • All proceeds from the event go to local youth groups and agencies.
