Welcome to the Half on the 4th Half Marathon & 5K! This fast and well shaded 13.1 mile course will begin and end in Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs. There are aid stations at every mile and bathrooms along the course. The race follows the Greenway Trail with a mix of cement and hard pack pea gravel. All participants will receive a free t-shirt and medals for half marathon finishers. There is a large play area in Monument Valley Park for the kids (that aren't running) to play on while mom or dad is finishing her/his race and a public pool (run by the YMCA at additional cost) to cool down after the race!

Location/Directions: The Half on the 4th Half Marathon & 5K will be held in Colorado Springs, Monument Valley Park southwest of Cache La Poudre St. Coming into Colorado Springs from either north or south you will be taking I-25. Exit Uintah St east and take a right on Cascade Ave.  Take another right on Cache La Poudre St and it will take you into the park.  Look for street parking before you enter the park as spots along the park will fill fast.

Start Time: July 4th 2015 - 7:00am Half Marathon/ 7:20am 5K

Packet Pick Up: July 3rd, time and location to be determined (check the race website for location as the date approaches www.spreeracing.com/halfon4th). We will also have race morning packet pickup at the park on starting at 6:00am. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you pick up your packets on July 3rd. Our volunteers work hard, but it is inevitable that there will be a line at pack pickup race morning and to avoid this please pick up your packet on July 3rd if at all possible.

            $20 through May 31

            $25 June 1 - July 2            

            $30 July 3-4 (packet pickup-race day)

Registration: All registration except packet pickup and race day registration will done online through Active.com.  A small online registration fee will be added.  July 3rd registration will be done during packet pickup, location to be determined. Race day registration will begin at 6:00am at Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs.

Shirts/Medals: All participants will receive a free t-shirt and medals for half marathon finishers. We will have specific t-shirt's for men and women! If you signed up after July 27th you may need to get your race shirt after the event. For those that sign up late, their shirts will be available for pick up at a local running store (location to be determined) from July 23-30th. If you live out of town we can mail your your shirt as needed.

Swimming Pool: There is a community swimming pool next to the race start that opens at 10:00am.

Parking: Parking is available on Mesa Rd and other side streets by Monument Valley Park.

Timing: The Half on the 4th Half Marathon will be chip timed with race results posted soon after the race.
