2015 Route 66 Sprint Triathlon & Aquabike:
- USAT Sanctioned Event.
- The Route 66 Sprint Triathlon & Aquabike will be held on Saturday, May 30.
- The Route 66 Olympic Distance Triathlon & Aquabike will be held on Sunday May 31.
Course Information:
Sprint Triathlon:
Swim:
- The 500 meter swim is an open water swim in Lake El Reno.
- Triangle course.
- Wetsuits should be permitted, lake temperature should approximately be mid 70s.
Bike: - The 13 mile bike course is out and back.
- The majority being on Route 66 is mainly slight inclines.
- No recumbents allowed!
Run: - The 5K run course is out and back.
- A flat 3.1 miles on a winding asphalt road.
Sprint Aquabike:
- The aquabike is on the same course as the triathlon, with only a 100 yard run to the finish line.
Directions:
DIRECTIONS TO EVENT:
To Lake El Reno:
- From OKC take I-40 west to El Reno, exit Country Club Rd (Exit 123).
- Go north 1 mile to Elm St.
- Go west (turn left) on Elm St. and road will lead straight in the parking/race start area.
- Look for the El Reno water tower.
