Are you Shenandoah Strong? Paddle, trek, bike, and navigate your way around George Washington National Forest and Shenandoah River State Park and see if you have what it takes to earn the title! Team up with one or two friends or tackle the challenge solo. Racers will have 12 hours to cover up to 50 miles over the rugged and beautiful terrain of the Shenandoah Mountains, picking up checkpoints along the way.

Course Information:

Mandatory checkpoints will require minimal navigational skills, whereas optional checkpoints will test your map and compass prowess. Be prepared to paddle about 12-15 miles, trek 15-20 miles, mountain bike 15-20 miles, and have the time of your life.

Directions:

Downriver Canoe Company, Bentonville, VA

From Northern Virginia, take I-66 West to exit 13 (Linden). Turn left off the ramp. Go one block to a stoplight where you’ll take a right onto Rt. 55 West. At the fifth stoplight, turn left onto 340 South. Drive eight miles; the park’s entrance is on the right.

Fees:

Super early registration is $100.00 per team member & $120 for soloists until November 30st, 2014

Early registration is $110 per team member & $130 for soloists until December 31st, 2014

Regular registration is $120.00 per team member & $140 for soloists until February 28th, 2015

Late registration is $130.00 per team member & $140 for soloists until close.

An additional $8 race day fee is required by USARA and can be paid on race day or during online registration.

Included: Maps, race shirts, canoes, paddles, PFD, post-race celebration and meal, one of the best adventures of your life.
