The Gumby 10K and 5K Trail Runs will feature beautiful courses along the shoreline of Folsom Lake covered in the colorful wildflowers of spring, plus a custom tech tee race-shirt, hot post race food, and awards three deep in each division along with raffle prizes. Gumby will be at the race to help celebrate his birthday and for picture opportunities before and after the races. There will be a Free Kids 1-mile Run starting prior to the Gumby 5K and 10K events.
Course Information:
The Gumby 10K starts along the shore of Folsom Lake and after a short section on pavement begins climbing the small hills of the shoreline for an out and back course that veers once to a scenic point along the lake and returns up some short but steep hills, with aid stations spread evenly along the course. There is a climb up Mooney Ridge on the way back to the finish line.
The Gumby 5k starts along the shore of Granite Beach on Folsom Lake. The course heads south for 1k and then heads north to Oak Point before returning to the finish at Granite Beach.
Directions:
Granite Bay State Park on Folsom lake is located at the end of Douglas Blvd, 5-6 miles East of I-80. Turn right at the third stop sign after entering the park for the Granite Beach parking lot. There is a $12 vehicle charge for day-use or $125 for an annual pass. Contact phone 916 988 0205.
