The Downtown Columbia Partnership is launching a new and different 5K race and 1-mile Fun Run, right in the heart of Downtown Columbia. The 5K race course takes runners through the landmarks of Downtown Columbia highlighting its rich 47 years of history as well as the future that is unfolding.

It starts at The Mall in Columbia which recently completed a renovation and lifestyle expansion and winds runners past the new Metropolitan apartment project; through Symphony Woods, the not-yet-developed Crescent neighborhood and Merriweather Post Pavilion; past Toby’s Dinner Theatre; and then along the lakefront path into the heart of the Downtown Columbia lakefront.

The 1-mile Fun Run course will be equally as interesting also starting at The Mall in Columbia then running along Symphony Woods, down the lakefront path and into the heart of Downtown Columbia. Post-race festivities include a taste of Downtown Columbia, entertainment and children’s activities.
