2014 Tri Ancilla Triathlon
Come and join us for the sixth annual Tri Ancilla sprint triathlon event on Saturday, September 27th. The scenic grounds of The Center at Donaldson, home of Ancilla College, will provide an enjoyable morning of racing for area competitors.
Course Information:
500 yard lake swim
11 mile bike ride on mainly flat country roads
3.1 mile run on mainly flat roads and some grass
Finish on main road coming into campus with enthusiastic crowd noise
Directions:
Ancilla College is located at 9601 Union Rd. in Plymouth, Indiana -- just 2 miles south of U.S. 30.
Coming from the East: Take U.S. 30 west 9 miles from the U.S. 31 and U.S. 30 interchange to Union Road [green sign: Ancilla College]. Turn left [south] on Union Rd. through Donaldson.
Coming from the West: Take U.S. 30 east to Indiana 23. Travel 3.3 miles on U.S. 30 from Indiana 23 to Union Road [green sign: Ancilla College]. Turn right [south] on Union Road through Donaldson.
Coming from the North: Take U.S. 31 south to U.S. 30. Turn [right] west 9 miles from the U.S. 31 and U.S. 30 interchange to Union Road [green sign: Ancilla College]. Turn left [south] on Union Rd. through Donaldson.
Coming from the South: Take U.S. 31 north to U.S. 30. Turn [left] west 9 miles from the U.S. 31 and U.S. 30 interchange to Union Road [green sign: Ancilla College]. Turn left [south] on Union Rd. through Donaldson.
Travel 1.7 miles to where Union Rd. makes a “T” at 9B Road. Turn right at the stop sign. The College will be on your left. The main College entrance faces the parking lot. You may park in Lots A, B, or C and enter the College at the south door entrance.
Ancilla College operates on Eastern Daylight Time(EDT).
Other Info:
Packet pick-up will take place in the front lobby of the College from 7:00am-8:30am EDT on race day. The pre-race meeting will start right at 8:30am in the Transition Area. All participants must attend the pre-race meeting. All participants are strongly encouraged to be checked in and have their gear set-up in the transition area before this time. Following the meeting you will have the option of being transported over to the swim start or you may walk to the start. If you prefer to walk, you might want to bring an extra pair of shoes that we will return to you after the race. The shoes used to walk to the swim start will not be available in the transition area so plan accordingly. We will not start the first swim wave until all participants are at the swim start area. It is a point to point swim. Spin Zone Cycling will be available by the Transition Area if you are having any issues with your bike.
IMPORTANT: Remember to bring a PHOTO ID with you to packet pick up - this is a MUST for everyone! If you are a USAT member, you must also bring your USAT CARD. Sorry - you CANNOT pick up another persons packet - Each participant MUST pick up his/her own packet.
