Started in
2011 by founder Dawn Thompson, Improving Birth grew tremendously in
2012. What began as a local group of moms from San Diego, expanded to
thousands upon thousands of supporters, contributors, and members- not
just in the United States, but around the world!
Now, in 2014, we are once again set for a huge growth in membership and a large move towards meeting Improving Births goals. This year marks our first ever Improving Birth Fun Run; locations from around the country are hosting events to fundraise for their local Improving Birth activities and to support the national organization.
And as you finish.... that's where the real fun begins! Select locations will be hosting their maternity/baby fairs immediately following the race; meet area vendors, nonprofits that share Improving Birth's dedication to moms and babies, enjoy great food, and more. A full day of fun for the whole family!
