2014 Race on the Rock Sprint & Olympic Distance Triathlons:
• This early fall race will take place in the High Plains Desert of the Rocky Mountains. • The average altitude for this race is approximately 6300ft which will add some additional challenge to the new and experienced racer. • The swim portion will take place indoors at Western Wyoming Community College and the bike and run paths will travel along city streets and along the base of White Mountain. • The weather could be brisk, it could be warm, either way the swim is indoors. • This is the first sanctioned event to take place in Rock Springs.

Swim: will take place in an indoor pool, the average temperature of the pool will be near 85-degrees. We will have counters to keep count of the laps you complete.
Bike: The transition area is right outside the pool in the parking lot. You will leave the college parking lot and travel along city streets, it will be an early Sunday morning and traffic will be minimal and there will be plenty of volunteers to guide you along the way, law enforcement will be posted at the one larger intersection you will encounter.
Run: The run portion of the race will take place along the same path as the bike portion.
Although there are large hills in this city, the race path doesn't have any extreme hills, you can expect some increase and decreases in altitude along the race path overall though the race is not hilly.
Take I-80 to Rock Springs exit off Exit 103 follow the signs to Western Wyoming Community College.
