Great Ames Adventure Race 2010 :
Adventure Race : 3 mile paddle, 15 mile bike route (paved), 5k run

2010 Great Ames Adventure Race:

  • Teams and individuals interested in the challenge of an adventure race.
  • Family and friends are invited to watch and to join participants for pancakes and awards at the Moose Lodge following the race.

    • Course Information:

    2010 GAAR Race Course:

  • The course starts with a 3 mile canoe/kayak race around Ada Hayden Lake.
  • Followed by a 15 mile bike ride.
  • Finish with a 5K run within the park - including the upland trail.
  • The course includes a transition area from which participants will begin the bicycling and running portions of the event.

    • Directions:

  • Ada Hayden Park is on US Hwy 69 on the north edge of Ames

    • Other Info:

  • A late registration fee of $10.00 per team or solo registration will be charged after September 3rd.
