• KID'S TRIATHLON

  TRI AROOSTOOK Kids will be held on the University of Maine at Presque Isle campus.  Athletes will self seed when registering based on their estimated time depending on their swim times.  Swim waves of twelve athletes in six lanes will begin in the Gentile Hall Indoor Pool.  This is followed by a bike segment on the University of Maine at Presque Isle campus, and is a closed course to vehicles.  Finish this amazing event off with a run segment through the fields and trails adjacent to the campus, which brings athletes to a roaring finish the same as each adult athlete!

  TRAINING SESSIONS

  Two training sessions will be held prior to TRI AROOSTOOK Kids in preparation for the event.  

  • Saturday, June 6th: join our group as we educate participants about the swim portion of TRI AROOSTOOK Kids, and get in the water to practice.  Please bring swim suit, goggles, swim cap (optional), and towel to the Gentile Hall pool on the University of Maine at Presque Isle campus starting at 1 pm.  Parents are encouraged to participate with their children.  
  • Saturday, June 20th: join our group as we educate participants about the bike and run portions of TRI AROOSTOOK Kids by getting on the course to practice.  Please bring a functional bike, helmet, running sneakers, water, and snack to Gentile Hall on the University of Maine at Presque Isle campus starting at 1 pm.  Parents are encouraged to participate with their children.​
  
  
  

  EVENT SCHEDULE

     FRIDAY, JUNE 26th:

       4 pm to 7 pm- official packet pick up in Gentile Hall gymnasium for athletes.

     SATURDAY, JUNE 27th:

       11:30 am to 12:30 pm- race day packet pick up in Gentile Hall gymnasium for athletes.

       11:30 am to 1:00 pm-  athletes arrive, transition area opens, bike check-in, and body
                 marking.

       12:45 pm to 1 pm- pool open for for warm up swimming.

       1:00 pm- transition area closes.

       1:10 pm to 1:25 pm- opening remarks and MANDATORY pre-race meeting in Gentile
               Hall gymnasium.

       1:30 pm- first swim wave begins!

       3:30 pm- last athlete finishes (approximately).

       3:45 pm- all bikes and gear must be removed from the transition area.

       4 pm- awards ceremony in Gentile Hall gymnasium.
