2014 Witch City Triathlon:
• The Witch City Triathlon in its 13th year in existence is a sprint distance triathlon to be held on Saturday September 6th in Salem, MA.
• This sprint distance tri, just 25 minutes North of Boston is the perfect race for any triathlete, beginner to elite alike.
• 1/2 mile ocean swim in Salem Harbor.
• Scenic rolling bike course that travels into Marblehead to the Neck.
• The 5K run is a mix of road/trail with a turn around on the Salem/Marblehead bike path.
Event Schedule:
• The event will begin at 8am (reg. opens at 6am).
• The Elite wave will begin the event at 8:00am sharp.
• Other age group divisions every 5 minutes starting at 8:05.

Sprint Triathlon:
Swim:
• The half mile ocean swim is a chilly, protected swim in Salem Harbor.
• The swim is highly staffed with a lot of support including the Salem Harbormaster, paddleboarders, kayakers, and lifeguards.
Bike:
• After the swim leg is complete, athletes will transition to a scenic rolling bike course that travels into Marblehead to the Neck.
• Cyclists complete 3 loops around the neck, and then return to Salem.
Run:
• The 3.1 mile run is a mix of road/trail with a turn around on the Salem/Marblehead bike path.
• Athletes will finish back at Forest River Park by the playground.
