Both Mates (Seniors) and MiniMates (Juniors) will begin their pirate adventure triathlon with a swim in the Moody Gardens Palm Beach Lazy River. Upon finishing their swim they will then bike around the grounds of Moody Gardens. After their biking tour of Moody Gardens they will run on the Moody Gardens jogging trail by the shores of Galveston Bay and finish to the cheers of family and friends at the Oleander Bowl!
Distances:
Mates: Swim 200 yards, Bike 4 miles, Run 1 mile.
MiniMates: Swim 100 yards, Bike 2 miles, Run 1/2 mile.
Awards will be given to the overall Male and Female winners of the Mates and MiniMates divisions. Each winner will get a Moody Gardens Penguin Encounter experience for 4!
Also, included with your entry fee is free admission to Moody Gardens Palm Beach after the triathlon!! So your athlete and 3 additional guests can stay and play at Moody Gardens from 12pm - 4pm! (Regular pricing for Palm Beach is $23.95/adult and $18.95/child)
