All races will begin and end at the Larrabee bandstand area and will feature snag-a-tag prizes as well as great awards. Costumes are encouraged! Courses are challenging but are sure to be fun!

Following the races, join us for even more fun and festivities including-  Awards Ceremony, live music, food carts, a beer garden, a root beer garden and family friendly activities.

Course Information:

Kids’ Race:
Kid’s races will start at 9 AM where kids will compete against their age group in a 1/2 mile obstacle course. Race will start by the bandstand, run along the trail over the creek, and wind back towards the playground area.  

4.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk:
Run or walk the 4.5 mile course! This course will start at 10 AM at the Larrabee band stand area, cross over Chuckanut Drive, briefly follow the inter urban trail, and continue up the Fragrance Lake trail. The course will turn off to the right, passing by an aid station at mile 2 and will head back down Fragrance Lake Road to end where the race started. 

7.5 Mile Fun Run:
Run the 7.5 mile course! This course is challenging but well worth it! It will start at 10 AM at the Larrabee bandstand area, cross over Chuckanut Drive, briefly follow the inter urban trail, and continue up the Fragrance Lake trail. The course will turn off to the right, passing by an aid station at mile 2 and will take a turn to head along the Lost Lake trail and traverse up the brand new Rock Trail featuring a total of 164 stairs up (and 7 down)! Next the course will follow the steep Black Diamond trail to pass by the aid station again at mile 5.5 and head back down Fragrance Lake Road to end where the race started. 

Directions:

From I-5 Northbound
Take exit 231 for Washington 11 N/Chuckanut Drive toward Bow-Edison
At the1st traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto WA-11 N   At the next traffic circle, continue straight aprox. 15 miles onto WA-11 N/Chuckanut Dr.
Turn left into camping/day use area.
From I-5 Southbound
Take the WA-11 S exit, EXIT 250, toward Chuckanut Dr/Old Fairhaven Pkwy..    
Turn right onto Old Fairhaven Pkwy/WA-11.
Turn left onto 12th St/WA-11.
Turn slight left onto Chuckanut Dr N/WA-11.
Turn right into camping/day use area.

Other Info:

Bandit Run proceeds will go to support two wonderful programs for the Surfrider Foundation and Grinnin Fish. Additionally, a dollar of each registration fee will be donated to the host park to help support trail improvements.

The Surfrider Foundation is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of the world’s oceans, waves, and beaches. The Northwest Straits Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation  focuses on protecting Bellingham Bay starting with watershed systems spanning from snowy mountain slopes to the salty bay.

Grinnin Fish offers educational, fun, hands-on, science outreach programs, covering Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom Counties and is located in Stanwood Washington.  Any proceeds to Grinnin Fish from the Bandit Run will be used to provide classroom materials and scholarships to schools, after school programs and community resource centers.
