2014 Pensacola Beach Glow Run 5K Event:
• The 2nd Annual Pensacola Beach Glow Run 5K event, sponsored by Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida, is a Glow Filled, 5K Night Run benefitting the communities around the Pensacola, Florida area. This family friendly and Celebration infused Event attracted over 1700 runners last year and this years festivities will be even broader with Virtual Event Bags, Professiona Timing, Inclusive Award Categories, and a great After Race party at the Finish line! This is an opportunity to participate in an outstanding cause while enjoying the gorgeous nighttime atmosphere and smell of the Gulf of Mexico on Santa Rosa Island. Pre-Race Zumba is back on the Gulfside Pavilion Stage this year, and Post Race festivities will be held at numerous places around the Island! Join us and invite your friends, family, and co-workers to participate in this much anticipated annual 5K Run!! On your Mark, Get Set, GLOW!!!! Costume Contest sponsored by Pensacola Parade People. Awards and Prizes for largest Team registered and longest distance traveled, as well as standard age categories and overall award groups. EARLY REGISTRATION ENCOURAGED!!! THIS EVENT IS CAPPED AT 1800 RUNNERS AND EARLY REGISTRATION PRICES END ON OCTOBER 3, 2014!!!!
Course Information:
• The Pensacola Beach Glow 5K Run/walk event is an exciting and unique event that is novel to the Gulf Coast area.
• Come nightfall, participants will run a 3.1 miles course on Pensacola Beach, illuminating the night with neon lights, black lights, and glow sticks.
• Once the participants reach the finish the line, they will be greeted with a post-race after party featuring locals DJs, performers, and bands performing late into the night.
