Skagits
AMAZING RACE to Raise Great Kids is 9 a.m. 3 p.m., Sat., June 28, with all
proceeds to support the Mount Vernon Boys & Girls Club.
Race
participants can expect to encounter physical skill elements, such as running
and climbing, combined with creative and/or mental skills, such as singing,
dancing, puzzle solving, fact finding, or eating strange foods.
How
to Register a Team -- $250 Pledge
There
is a maximum limit of 50, 2-person teams. Teams can register and receive team
donations online. Teams who would also like to fundraise offline are welcome to
do so using the Offline Fundraising Form. Click here to register.
There
are also other ways for teams to get ahead in the game! Below is a list of
rewards* teams will receive if they fundraise more than their entry pledge:
1-minute head
start: For teams raising more than $300
2-minute head
start: For teams raising more than $500
Fast Forward Pass:
For teams raising more than $1000
Prizes for the top finishers include the Kindle Fire, Huskie

This
is not a marathon, relay match or scavengers hunt! Its a special blend of many
challenges based on the Priority Outcomes of the Boys & Girls Clubs of
Skagit Countys Formula for Impact: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship,
and Healthy Lifestyles. Loosely following the format of the CBS reality
television game show, The Amazing Race, race participants can expect to
encounter physical skill elements, such as running and climbing, combined with
creative and/or mental skills, such as singing, dancing, puzzle solving, fact
finding, or eating strange foods.
Skagits
AMAZING RACE to Raise Great Kids will have two race legs: (1) the Qualifying
Leg and (2) the Final Leg. A maximum of 50, 2-person teams will compete against
each other in the Qualifying Leg of the race, completing no less than 10
challenges. The 10 teams who complete the Qualifying Leg of the race with the
fastest times will move on to the Final Leg of the race, completing no less
than five more extreme challenges. The top three qualifying teams will win
prizes, with the first place finisher taking home the trophy/plaque and top
winnings.
