The Chattanooga Mud Run a 5K Mud Run raising funds for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area will be back on August 16, 2014 for its 5th year at Greenway Farms in Hixson, TN. This 5k run is a military-style obstacle course race combining the natural terrain of Greenway Farms with purpose built obstacles, as well as mud pits. This event provides a challenging course for experienced runners, while still being doable for first timers. The race will be followed by an after party with live music, food trucks, and of course, beer.
Course Information:
The course for the event is still under development, but it typically includes grassy paths through wooded areas of the park, a creek swim, mud pit, belly crawl, plus other constructed obstacles. The course is changed each year to keep things fun.
Directions:
The Greenway Farm is a 180-acre city park along North Chickamauga Creek in Hixson, TN, located off Hamill Road approximately 1 mile east of Highway 153. The street address for the facility is 5051 Gann Road, Hixson, TN 37343.
