2014 Tri for the Kids Youth Triathlon: 2014 marks the 6th Annual Tri For The Kids Triathlon in Rome, Georgia. The event is USAT sanctioned and open to all kids ages 6 to 15.
**We have distinguished our categories into elite, beginner and physically challenged. Each will have its own separate race with juniors and seniors. To be eligible for the elite category, athletes must have completed 3 triathlons. Anyone is eligible for the beginner race- athletes of all abilities and competitiveness are welcome. Elite races will begin at 1:00 pm on Sun. May 4, 2014, with the senior division first followed by the junior division. Physically Challenged Race will begin at approximately 2:00. Beginner races will begin at approximately 3:00. Packet Pickup and the transition area will open at 11:00 am. on race morning.
Finisher medals, t-shirts and goody bags for all participants! (A limited number of scholarships are available)
All proceeds from the race will benefit the The Boys & Girls Club of Rome, GA.
The entire race will take place at Darlington's Upper School campus located at 1014 Cave Spring Road. Directions to the campus are on www.darlingtonschool.org.
The route will be limited to Darlingtons Upper School campus and the area of Cave Spring Road between the school and the Boys & Girls Club.
