Chula Vista Challenge Olympic Distance Triathlon & Duathlon on Sunday Aug 10, 2014 is now open. This will be the 4th year this exciting point-to-point Olympic Distance race that takes competitors from a calm water bay swim just north of the Chula Vista Marina, to a the bike course which features rolling hills throughout Eastlake in Chula Vista, and finally a run on scenic trails overlooking Otay Lakes and into the through the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista before a true finish line party with great finisher medals for everyone, great food (real food like steak sandwiches not a pile of bananas and stale bagels), and tasty beverages!
We are excited to announce that we also just got approval for the NEW South Bay Sprint Triathlon & Duathlon on Saturday Aug 9th. This will be the first year for the Sprint and with a calm water swim, smooth flat roads, and run course along the water we expect it to be a very flat and fast race. There will great finisher medal for everyone, food, and beverages!
For those little triathletes out there the Kid Super Sprint Race will also be on Saturday Aug 9th with the Sprint Race.
The course will be both challenging and fun; you will bike through the hills of Eastlake, run on the trails overlooking Otay Lakes and then through the Olympic Training Center.
