2010 Bowling Green Sprint Triathlon:
- The 4th Annual Bowling Green Sprint Triathlon will be held on Sunday August 22, 2010 at Russell Sims Aquatic Center within the Preston Miller Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
- The event will start at 8:00 am Central Time.
Course Information:
Swim 400 Meters - The Swim will be contained within the 50 meter pool at the Russell Sims Water Park. Swimmers will be started every 5 seconds, using a snake format swim pattern. Swimmers will be rank in the order of the estimated swim time listed on the application form. Late entries (after August 19th, 2010) will be listed as no time and be started after the ranked runners
Bike 23k - The 23km loop bike course takes you on rolling roads in Bowling Green and Warren County. There are several areas of moderate to challenging hills. Several aid stations and support crews will be located on the bike course. No drafting allowed.
Run 5K - The run course takes you through the relatively flat neighborhood next to the Russell Sims Aquatic Center, along the new running trails parallel to Veterans Memorial Lane and around the Preston S Miller Park. Aids stations will be positioned approximately every mile. Approximately two thirds of the course is on dedicated running trails with the remainder of the course pasting through low traffic residential areas.

From Louisville, take I-65 south to the Natcher Parkway (exit 20). Take the second exit (exit 5) left onto Russellville Road (68/80). Turn right onto Russellville Road (68E/80E). Turn left onto KY 880 (Veterans Memorials). Park entrance is on the left off Tomblinson Way. |
