The Balanced Man Triathlon is a fast and exciting super sprint triathlon that takes place at Utah State University. Organized by the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, proceeds from the triathlon benefit the Best Buddies Program at the University. The Best Buddies is an organization dedicated to providing fun activities for the special needs community.
The Balanced Man Triathlon starts off with a 500 yard swim held in the Utah State HPER Building pool. The pool is 25 yards long and has 6 lanes. Swimmers will be paired up in each lane until they have completed 10 laps. All swimmers will be seeded by time, and volunteers will assign swimmers to a lane as others finish.
The bike course consists of an out and back starting right outside the HPER building and continuing through the local neighborhood and up a large hill. In total the biking portion is about 9 miles total.
The conclusion of the triathlon is a 5k run that travels through the Utah State University campus. The map can be viewed on the website.
