The Double Road Race was created by Bob Anderson is the Summer of 2010. The first official Double Road Race was held December 23, 2012. Nearly 1400 people registered for the Pleasanton, California event. The Double Road Race is a 15k (9.3 miles) distance race consisting of two legs, an opening 10k leg followed by a 5k leg with a halftime in between featuring the Recovery Zone. Ten Double Road Races will be held in 2014 and 14 are planned for 2015.
Unique to the Double Road Race is the signature Halftime event that takes place in between the 10K % 5K legs. During halftime runner's have the option to fine tune themselves so they can prepare for the 2nd leg of the race which is the 5K portion. While on their halftime break, runners can get a massage, hop on an exercise bike, use rollers, re-hydrate, grab snacks, stretch out or do whatever they need in order to tune up for the 5K leg. Regardless of age and skill, rest assure the Double Road Race has something for every runner! Hope to see you at our next event!

Course Information:
Located along the beautiful San Jose hillside, the San Jose course starts right in front of the IDT (Integrated Device Technology) building located on Silver Creek Valley Road. Runners will surely enjoy the route as it goes along the hills of lower San Jose and as it provides for some amazing views of the San Jose area!

Take 101 North
Exit on Silver Creek Valley Road
Turn Right onto Silver Creek Valley Road
Turn Right into the IDT Complex located at 6024 Silver Creek Valley Rd
From Santa Cruz Area:
Take 17 North
Take the 85 S Exit
On 85, take the Blossom Hill Rd Exit
Turn left onto Blossom Hill Rd
Take Blossom Hill Rd until in Transfers to Silver Creek Valley Rd
Continue on Silver Creek Valley Rd and take Right into IDT Complex at 6024 Silver Creek Valley Rd
From San Francisco:
Take 101 S
Take the Monterey Rd/Blossom Hill Rd exit toward CA-82/Silver Creek Valley Rd
Turn left onto Silver Creek Valley Rd
Turn right into IDT Complex located at 6024 Silver Creek Valley Rd
Take 101 North
Exit on Silver Creek Valley Road
Turn Right onto Silver Creek Valley Road
