One Can Make a Difference running and cycling event
Friends and family have teamed up to help prevent student athletes from falling victim to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) in Louisiana children by hosting the 4th Annual One Can Make a Difference Charity Ride and Run.
The annual Ride and Run will take place on April 12, 2014 at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, LA. One Can Make a Difference teaches kids the value of giving back to their community through charitable work. In addition to screenings and championing the proliferation of AEDs, Living4Burke uses foundation donations to help spread awareness of SCA, so that other families dont suffer the lost of a child.
With the goal of doubling event registration and donations, the 2014 event will offer a choice of 5K Fun Run, 5K Family Bike Ride and a 30 Mile Bike Ride. Join us for a great day of fellowship, delicious food and family friendly events! This year, 100% of the entry fees will be donated, locally, to the Living4Burke Foundation, said Smith. With the 2014 race returning to the Lamar Dixon Expo Center, One Can has brought back the family bike ride so that Everyone Can Make a Difference.
The One Can team is asking Louisianians to help prevent another tragic loss in our community by signing up to participate in the 30-mile bike ride, 5K Family Bike Ride or 5K Fun Run. If the ride or run do not appeal to them, but they want to help, then they should consider sponsoring someone or simply making a donation.
