Along with the Memphis in May Olympic Distance, this race will be held in Tunica, MS at Harrah's Resort Tunica. The sprint distance race will be a great way for beginners to experience an open water swim, flat and fast course, all with a big event atmosphere.
Compete in both Memphis in May events for a chance at the $5,000 amateur challenge prize purse.

Sprint Transition Area
The Transition Area is located next to the lake in the open field between The Veranda Hotel and The Terrace Hotel. The transition area will be placed close to center of Southern Celebration Bld.; which is the 4 lane road with a median that is located between the Hotel Towers. The swim exit will enter in the east side of the transition area. The bike will exit and enter where Southern Celebration Blvd. ends at the open field. Bikers will bike straight on Southern Celebration Blvd. for the bike start. The bike exit will enter the transition area at the same location as the swim finish. The run will start on the Veranda Hotel side of the transition area and run around the transition area.
Sprint Swim Course
The swim start is located behind The Veranda Hotel and starts promptly at 8:00am. The swimmers will swim from the Veranda Hotel south through a canal and the last several hundred yards to the swim exit just south of the transition area, located in the big open field next to the pool.
Sprint Bike Course
The bikers will exit the transition area and go straight on Southern Celebration Blvd. and take a left onto Resort Village Dr. The bikers will go a short distance and take a right hand turn onto Harrah's Parkway South then a quick turn onto Old Hwy 61. Bike south on Old Hwy. 61 and take a right hand turn onto Casino Center Blvd. Bike west on Casino Center Blvd. and take a left hand turn onto Casino Way. Bike west and south on Casino Center Way and take a left hand turn onto Casino Strip Resort Blvd. Bike east on Casino Strip Resort Blvd. and take a left hand turn onto Old Hwy. 61. Bike north on Old Hwy. 61 and take a right hand turn onto Harrahs Parkway South.Then take a left hand turn on Resort Village Dr. Continue around and take a right hand turn onto Southern Celebration Blvd. and back to the transition area.
Sprint Run Course
The Runners will leave the Transition area and run west on Southern Celebration Blvd. to take a left on Harrah's Parkway South. Run on Harrah's Parkway South and take a right on Old Hwy 61. Take a quick right hand turn on a gravel rd that leads to a paved road. This will run underneath Southern Celebration Blvd. Runners will then run parallel to the levee running north. Runners will run through the Limo Parking Lot taking a right hand turn onto Old Hwy 61 and take a left on Harrahs Parkway North. Runners will run east on Harrahs Parkway North and take a right hand turn onto Resort Village Dr. Runners will run in front of the Convention Center and on a path behind the Veranda Hotel; past the swim start around to the finish line next to the pool.
