Welcome to one of America's longest running multisport series the 23rd Annual FIT Family Series presented by Go Fast Multisport. Throughout the summer, the FIT Family Series visits six beautiful venues. Each venue features a Kidz Triathlon & Duathlon on Saturday followed by a mini, sprint & Olympic distance triathlon and duathlon on Sunday. So whether you're racing for an overall title or giving multisport racing a try for the first time, the FIT Family Series is for YOU! It's ALL ABOUT FUN!
This venue offers courses that are mostly flat and fast with some rolling hills on the bike. Triathletes will be swimming along the beach in Deer Creek Lake. Duathlete's opening run is out and back featuring a run across the Deer Creek dam levy. So, don't forget your cross country legs. The bike courses are on mostly local country roads. The races finish with an out and back run that crosses the Deer Creek dam levy and heads onto a local country road. The run course is almost completely flat but does require extra effort when crossing the grass-covered levy. This race is a perfect "first race of the season" to get you ready for an exciting season of racing.
MINI TRIATHLON & DUATHLON
The mini distance triathlon will start off with a 250 yard point-to-point swim (in waist deep water along the beach), followed by a 7 mile loop course through the countryside and finishing with 2 mile out and back run across the Deer Creek dam levy. Duathletes will start off with a 2 mile run.
SPRINT TRIATHLON & DUATHLON
The sprint distance triathlon features a 750 meter counter clockwise rectangle swim along the beach, while the duathletes are running an out & back 5k across the Deer Creek dam levy, followed by a single loop 20k bike course through the countryside surrounding the park and finishing with an out & back 5k run that crosses the Deer Creek dam levy before returning for a grand finish at the park.
OLYMPIC TRIATHLON & DUATHLON
The Olympic distance triathlon features a 1500 meter 2-lap counter clockwise rectangle swim along the beach, while the duathletes are running an out & back 5k across the Deer Creek dam levy, followed by a double loop 40k bike course through the countryside surrounding the park and finishing with an out & back 10k run that crosses the Deer Creek dam levy and onto Deer Creek Road to the turnaround before returning for a grand finish at the park.
For those who prefer to race one element of the triathlon or duathlon we offer a relay division for our sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and duathlons. Relay teams consist of three (3) members (1 swimmer, 1 biker, 1 runner); each member will complete one segment of the race (2 members for duathlon teams). Each team member will exchange their timing chip bracelet at their assigned bike rack. There are NO age groups in this division.
