Register for The Terrapin and the Hare 5K Mud Run and
Playworks Maryland help bring recess to 20 schools in the Maryland
area! The Terrapin and the Hare Mud Run is a fun, high intensity,
obstacle course run through the woods of Savage, Maryland. Starting
at Terrapin Adventures, the Terrapin and the Hare will include 5
Kilometers of challenging terrain and will contain obstacles such as
climbing walls, tires, webs, and, of course, mud. If you like a
challenge and some food topped off with a beer from the Rams Head
Tavern at the finish, then the Terrapin and the Hare is the race for
you.
Course Information:
You will have to conquer over a dozen unique obstacles on
your way though our 5k course. Below are brief descriptions of
each planned race obstacle.
3D Spider Web - Don't get tangled.
Up and Under - Climb over and duck under some fences.
High Step - It's just an old football exercise. Did you play?
Noodle Factory - there will plenty of leftovers.
Mill Race Run - Run along the old mill race where logs and other obstacles will be in your way.
Down and Dirty - This one may be a little muddy.
Tire Alley - run through tires that are hanging in the air and lying on the ground.
Climbing Wall - Yep you have to climb this one.
Run Deer Run - Navigate through the woods on the deer trails. Don't step in any scat.
Cardiac Hill - this one is a "just a little steep."
Short Man's Tunnel - don't bump your head.
Foam Party - run through the tunnel of foam!

Take I-95 South to Exit 38A, Rt. 32 East towards Ft. Meade. Follow signs to Savage Mill. Take exit 12B, Rt 1 South. At 2nd light take a right on Gorman Rd. Take right at Foundry St. Take 2nd left on Baltimore St., 2nd left at Fair St. and enter parking lot.
From Washington:
Take I-95 North to Exit 38A, Rt. 32 East towards Ft. Meade. Follow signs to Savage Mill. Take exit 12B, Rt 1 South. At 2nd light take a right on Gorman Rd. Take right at Foundry St. Take 2nd left on Baltimore St., 2nd left at Fair St. and enter parking lot.
From Annapolis:
Take Rt. 50 West to Rt. 97 North. After 8 miles take Rt. 32 West until exit 12B, Rt. 1 South. At 3rd light take a right on Gorman Rd. Take a right at Foundry St. Take 2nd left on Baltimore St., 2nd left at Fair St. and enter parking lot.
Take I-95 South to Exit 38A, Rt. 32 East towards Ft. Meade. Follow signs to Savage Mill. Take exit 12B, Rt 1 South. At 2nd light take a right on Gorman Rd. Take right at Foundry St. Take 2nd left on Baltimore St., 2nd left at Fair St. and enter parking lot.
