Max Tracks is proud to bring our City Style Obstacle 5k to the City of Annapolis. You will run through the scenic Quiet Waters Park while jumping, climbing, crawling and testing your endurance City Style. Get your friends together and test your limits.
So what is CITY STYLE? Glad you asked. Picture this, you are on a casual trail run, beautiful views of a quiet lake on your left, rabbits playing on your right, as you approach a clearing you notice some sort of obstruction...Curious, you get closer. GET DOWN! Youre forced under a sediment fence supported by highway barriers; youre on the pavement now, face inches from the gravel. Your quiet run has turned into a full on endurance test, GET UP! You sprint a bit further and hit multiple sets of jersey barriers; you hurdle, roll and fall over them just to be confronted by even higher walls! Clearing those walls you are now exhausted, and thats only 1 mile in...Over the total distance of this 5 kilometer run you will be faced with the following (but not limited to):
- Large and small Hurtles
- The Blob (our signature obstacle filled with water and a real pain in the ass)
- Jersey Barriers
- Trail running
- Burpees (Because this isnt a walk in the park)
- Hill climbing
- Face grinding low crawls
- Natural obstacles
- Agility tests
- Gorgeous Scenery (Not and obstacle but worth noting)
- Water (No swimming required)
The race is designed to test your endurance while maintaining a certain level of FUN that is expected in a MAX Tracks race! We like to think that the race is as hard as you want to make it, skip whatever you want...but you don't want to go home clean, do you?
Event schedule and times
First start wave begins at 9:00am. Start waves are chosen by the participant but are not guaranteed.
Running in the beautiful Quiet Waters park you wouldn't expect the things you will run into! We will transform the park into a battle field of obstacles, not for the faint of heart!
Finishers all receive a T-Shirt and Medal!
Local Charity receives portion of benefits from the race.
