We're back to kick off the start of Fall with the second annual Oaks Park Oktoberfest 5k Fun Run and Kids 1k! A scenic course along the Springwater trail ending in the heart of Oaks Park. Recruit your friends, pull on your lederhosen* and come out and be a part of the festivities!
*For the brave of heart - a costume contest! Show up in your best traditional German attire and win the coveted best dressed prize...of course, a festive German Beer Stein!
T-shirt, swag bag and free entry to the Oktoberfest event is included for all race participants. Great food, live music, beer garden, games/contests, dancing, kid activities and more. You wont want to miss this Portland favorite! Tara Arnold, the former Mrs. Oregon 2013, not only will be emceeing the fun run festivities but will be participating along with the kids as well. Keeping kids both informed and inspired in regards to health and fitness is a cause espeically important to Tara. So we are thrilled to be donating a portion of our proceeds to a non-profit that Tara founded to help inspire kids to be and stay active! NOTE: Strollers will be allowed on course but please be aware that the route may differ slightly in order to re-enter Oaks Park's gates safetly. Thank you for your understanding.
