2014 Lakes Country Triathlon:
The Kiwanis Club of Baxter Lakes Area and Friends is proud to continue and enhance the tradition of this beautiful and exciting triathlon.
The Brainerd Lakes area has long been a great vacation destination and now an incredible location for the final triathlon in the Tri Minnesota Series. The Lakes Country Triathlon continues to build into one of the best triathlons in the state.
The new bike course will not be at all on Hwy 210. We will be using Cedar Scenic Drive and heading west. It will be a beautiful ride with very little traffic.
Course Information:
The race begins with a 1/2-mile swim in Whipple Lake (known for its calm waters), then switches to a 17-mile bike through the rolling hills surrounding the Baxter / Brainerd Lakes area, and ends with a very flat 3.9 mile run through a quiet residential area.
