The Rolling Hills Challenge 2014 - offers cyclists picturesque yet challenging bike routes in South Central Texas. Gentle hills of Colorado and Fayette Counties are a unique setting not found in metropolitan areas rides.
Ride is hosted by COLUMBUS LIONS CLUB
100 mile cyclists will begin at 7:30 am. All other riders begin at 8:00 am
Rest stops are available approximately every 15 miles along the route with refreshments and portable t oilets. Roving vehicles will travel the routes to assist riders. Emergency medical assistance provided by the Colorado County EMS
The Rolling Hills Challenge starrts at Beason's Park on the Colorado River in Columbus, TX.
When traveling west from Houston on IH-10, take exit 698 and follow Hwy 90 to Columbus. Beason's Park will be on your left prior to crossing the Colorado River.
If you are traveling east on IH-10 to Columbus, take exit 696 and go north on Business 71, veer to the right on Spur 52 to downtown Columbus. Turn right at the right light onto Walnut Street and continue until you cross the river. Beason's Park will be on your right.
If you are traveling from Austin on Hwy 71, take the Columbus Business 71 exit and follow Business 71 until you come to the red light. Turn left onto Walnut Streeet and continue until you cross the river. Beson's Park will be on your right.
