Melt Fest 5K
Winter is slowly "melting" away and it is time to celebrate the start of Spring! This event is open to all and should have something for everyone. Take advantage of complimentary ice skating at the Riverview Ice House, free rides on the Rockford Park District trolley, musical performances by Missing Links and Unity the Band, a variety of food and retail vendors for you to do business with, and the ability to tour the historic Prairie Street Brewhouse.
Challenging 5K Course taking you through three wards of Rockford, over the newly redone Morgan Street Bridge, by the recently constructed Court House, and under ever famous Jefferson Street Bridge.
The race will be ran on streets that will be marked off and safe for all participants. Sign up today and take part in the first ever Melt Fest 5K.
Proceeds from the race will go to benefit the Community Center Collaborative (Boys and Girls Club, Patriots Gateway Community Center, KenRock Community Center, Harlem Community Center, Northwest Community Center).
