Dayton's longest running kids triathlon is celebrating it's 11th annual kids race! For ages 4-14, this triathlon includes a serpentine pool swim in their outdoor 25 yard pool. The complete bike and run courses are within the Kettering park area, with no roads. Lots of caring volunteers has made this a super safe and fun family event for the past ten years!
Course Distances- Swim, bike and run, in that order: Ages 4-6: swim: 100 yards, bike 2 k (1.2 miles), run 1/2 k (.3 mile);
Ages 7-10: swim 200 yards, bike 4k (2.4 miles), run 1 k (.6 miles);
Ages 11-14: swim 400 yards, bike 8 k (4.8 miles), run 2 k (1.2 miles)
Every finisher gets a medal. With preregistration, racers receive a race shirt, and there is a sliding scale for entry fees for siblings in the same family. Race day registration is available (sorry, no discounts on race day).
From I-675, take the Indian Ripple Rd. exit west (by The Greene) approx. 1/2 mile, and turn left (south) onto Stroop Rd. Go approx. 1/4 mile again, and turn right onto Glengarry Dr. Go about 1/4 mile again, and turn left into the parking lot by the Latham Senior Center, following the race traffic and signs.
