RDE ventures east to the beautiful town of Dandridge for the inaugural Lakeside of the Smokies Olympic distance triathlon. Douglas Lake is the venue for the first edition for what promises to be a staple event on the RDE calendar for years to come. The open water swim is in Douglas Lake, followed by a rolling 40k out and back bike course, capped off by a 10k run through downtown Dandridge to the unique levy finish. Racin for the Mason Jar is the theme, with genuine moonshine jars and jugs Smoky featured as race awards. Technical shirts, moonshine themed finisher awards, and post-race food provided by A Taste of Dandridge highlight the new event.
