Medals for all participants in the 1K and 1 Mile Challenge. Trophies for kids who are top finishers in the 1K and 1 Mile. Prizes for top finishers in all age categories in the 5K.
As a participant, you'll enjoy walking or running in one of our races, plus a post-race party with food and a fabulous DJ.
Course Information:
Join the University Park community for a morning of family-friendly fun and fitness. The Azalea Classic has a race for everyone! Chose from our USATF certified 5K, our 1 Mile Challenge or our 1K Family Fun Run. All races take place on quiet, azalea-lined streets in University Park. This popular event brings together people from across the region, various schools and all ages.
The event is organized by the University Park Elementary School PTA and all proceeds benefit programs at the school.

Directions:
- 5K Our USATF certified course features moderately rolling hills in a residential community. Along the course, youll be cheered on by friendly neighbors and local bands.
- 1 Mile Challenge Run Kids 8-12 can race for prizes in our one mile challenge. Its a veritable sprint to the finish!
- 1K Family Fun Run Our youngest participants can join in the excitement and walk or run in our 1K Family Fun Run. Parents are welcome to run or walk along.
