A fun and challenging event for all levels of triathletes.
A pool swim helps the newbies while our nature preserve run is a favorite for all levels.
Adult Raptor Race ** NEW **
Are you looking for a longer distance? We know have the Raptor race, which is double the distance!
Our triathlon is a little different than most.
Our fastest athletes start in the middle of the pack. Athletes are seeded based upon their 500 or 1000 yard swim time. We setup the waves so that the fastest group is not sitting for hours, before awards are presented.
Each wave/lane has 3 athletes in it, starting approx. 10 seconds apart. Athletes circle swim (always staying on the right side of the lane, and passing on the left - just like you drive).
*First waves: Raptor racers
*Next set of waves: Groups or special requests
*Remaining waves are divided into 1/2, with the slower 1/2 starting first and the faster 1/2 starting after that.
We have a fun raffle for all participants in both the adult triathlon and the child race, as well.
Adult Race:
500 yard lap pool swim, 13 mile country road bike, 3 mile nature preserve run
Adult Raptor Race -- Double the Distance:
1000 yard swim, 26 mile bike, 6 mile run (the bike and run routes are a loop of the regular course).
Child Race:
200 yard lap pool swim, 4 mile country road bike route, 1 mile run (on campus)
