Colchester Triathlon 2010:
The Colchester Triathlon is a recreational event that is great for the first time triathlete or a team.
The Triathlon consists of a ½ mile swim or 2 mile kayak, bike for 12 miles and finish with a 3 mile run.

Course Info:

Take your pick of .5 mile swim or 2 mile kayak.
Then ride the 12 mile bike course.
Finish with a 3 mile run.

Take I-89 North (from NH/VT Border about 1.5 hours) From I-89, take Exit 16 (Colchester/Malletts Bay).
At the bottom of the exit take a right and follow Route 2 & 7 North for approximately 1.9 miles to the traffic light at the intersection of Routes 2 & 7, Blakely and Severance Road (just after a steep hill).
Turn left at the light onto Blakely Road. Continue .6 miles beyond the Colchester Police Department and Town Offices (will be on your right .1 miles after you go over a bridge).
You will pass two schools on your right. Then you will go through a traffic light at a cross walk and another blinking light at Laker Lane. .2 miles beyond that Blakely road Ends.
Bayside Park is on your left at the light. Take that Left .

RACE UPDATE:
The 2010 Colchester Triathlon has reached the max # of entries, and is now sold out.
Bib Pickup Saturday, July 24, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Bayside Park or Sunday, July 25, 7:30-8:20 a.m. at the Colchester High School
Swim Caps A colored swim cap will be issued at bib pickup and must be worn by all swimmers during the swim leg.
PFD’s Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Devices are required by for all Kayak
participants.
Helmets ANSI approved helmets are required on all bicycle riders during the bicycle leg.
Pre-Race Meeting Sunday, July 25, 8:45 a.m. at Lower Bayside Park.
Start All participants must be at the starting area at 9:00 a.m.
Safety The Triathlon Committee reserves the right to remove any participant from the race that may pose a risk to them- selves, other participants and volunteers.
