2014 Nor'easter Reverse Sprint Triathlon:
This is a reverse triathlon featuring indoor transition and a snake swim in an indoor pool.
Course Information:
Run:
The run course has a few small hills in the first mile as the course exits the campus. After these hills, it is mostly flat. While running on Rt 9. the runners will be directed to run on the paved shoulder, facing traffic.
Transition is inside the gymnasium.
Bike:
The mount line is about 150 yards outside the gym. The bike course is a fast course. Along Rt. 9, cyclists will be directed to ride on the paved right shoulder. The vast majority of the pavement is new and/or smooth. The dismount line is about 100 yards outside the gym. "Bike In" is the same door as "Run In" , on the opposite diagonal corner of the building.
Swim:
The 150 yard swim is a snake swim. Swimmers will enter the pool in Lane 1. They will swim down in 1, back in 2, down in 3, back in 4, down in 5, back in 6 and then exit the pool. There will be No Passing zones as athletes approach the pool and on the pool deck.
