The Olympic Distance Event introduced at last years Henderson Harbor Triathlon will once again be part of this years 23rd annual Triathlon. Olympic Triathlon division athletes are expected to grow in numbers at the event scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2014. Registration is currently open at the Triathlons new website, hendersonharbortriathlon.com, and at www.active.com.
The events planning committee expanded the long-running, well known athletic event last year adding official Olympic distances in response to numerous requests for such a division in the competition. The traditional Sprint Triathlon division will also continue this year.
The Olympic Division is expected to attract an even greater number of racers to the spectacular views and unparalleled hospitality of beautiful Henderson Harbor, New York. Last year, nearly 300 competitors participated traveling to reach the event from as far south as Georgia, as far west as Ohio, and as far north as Maine. Nearly 400 are expected this year from the North Country and the far reaches of New York State, southeastern Canada, and the eastern United States.
Once again hosted by the Childrens Home of Jefferson County (CHJC) and Credo Community Center for the Treatment of Addictions, the event begins at the Henderson Harbor Boat Launch on Route 178. Registration begins at 6:30 am. The Olympic race will begin at 8:30 am and the Sprint at 9:00 am.

Head South on Route NY-3 E
Turn left on County Route 123/Military Road
Boat Launch will be on your right
Parking is on the left across from the boat launch
Route 81 Directions:
Take 81 South to Exit 41 towards Adams-Henderson
Take right off exit onto Route 178
Continue on County 178 until you come into the Village of Henderson
County 178 should bring you to Route 3
Go straight which will bring you to County Route 123/Military Road
Boat Launch will be on your right
From South:

The Henderson Harbor Triathlon will take place Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Henderson Harbor Boat Launch in Henderson Harbor, NY.
Registration begins at 6:45 a.m. and closes at 7:45 a.m.
Olympic Event Begins at 8:30 a.m.
Sprint Event Begins at 9:00 a.m.
Kids Race- 10:30 a.m.
Lunch- 11:00 a.m.
Awards Ceremony- 11:30 a.m.
Parking Information
Once you get onto County Route 123/Military Road, you will see signs for the Henderson Harbor Triathlon. The signs will lead to the parking area which is across the street from the Henderson Harbor Boat Launch.
****Once the race starts (8:30am), spectators will not be able to go down Military Rd. Please advise any spectators to arrive early.
