The run is 2 miles out and back with a short loop through the shaded area of Lake End Park finishing back at the transition area.
All proceeds will be donated to the Blazeman Foundation whose mission is to raise awareness and the necessary funds for the treatment and eventual cure of ALS.... So others may live.
Our race will be chip timed to ensure accurate and dependable results. The results will be posted near transition as soon as the first few athletes begin crossing the finish line.
Packet pickup will be at the race site on Saturday from 12 - 5 and on race morning from 6 - 7:00.
This race is perfect for spectators! Your family and friends will have an unobstructed view of the entire swim from the elevated powerboat judge’s stand.
The transition area will also be centrally located near the judge’s stand so you will be able to see your favorite athlete swim, bike, run, transition and finish the race all from a single shaded location.
We will have bounce houses to keep the kids occupied during the race.
We plan to have several open water swim practices before the race. Be sure to bring your bike. After the swim practice we will have a no drop ride on the 14 mile bike course.
For beginners we will show you how to set up you transition area and then demonstrate how to perform a swim to bike transition and a bike to run transition.
