2014 Cedar Beach Triathlon & Duathlon:
• This fantastic end of the season event takes place at the beautiful Cedar Beach Park in Mt. Sinai, Long Island.
• Triathletes will complete a .5 mile swim in Long Island Sound, bike two loops on a 7.5 mile challenging yet scenic bike course, and run two loops on a 1.55 mile flat and fast run course.
Course Information:
SWIM 1/2 MILE :
The 1/2 Mile Swim takes place in the Long Island Sound. Please note that the water temperature is usually between 67-71 degrees for this race. Wesuits are recommended .The swim is a Wave Start with Age Group Waves beginning at 7:00 AM. There will be Lifeguard Support on Kayaks, Jet Skis and boats.
BIKE 13.8 MILES:
Rolling Hills will bring you up down and around Miller Place town. This is a two loop counter clockwise course
RUN 3.1 MILES: After that challenging bike ride, Triathletes will appreciate the beautiful view as they complete two 1.55 mile loops thorough the cedar Beach Park trail. Gorgeous views of the sound and the marina are entrancing this time of the year
Duathlon:If you choose to compete in the duathlon you will complete a 1.55 mile Run the run will commmence at the same time as the swim. Then all the athletes will complete the bike and last run
