Come participate in the 7th annual Navigators Stamford KIC IT Triathlon!
The Sprint & Olympic distance races are open to triathletes and relay teams of all abilities.
Participants will brave the Long Island Sound for a .9-mile swim, quickly mount their bikes for a 24.8-mile ride through North Stamford, and then will run through the streets of downtown Stamford to complete the 6.2-mile run, finishing in Mill River Park.
Three hundred area volunteers will support the athletes as they race to raise money for Kids in Crisis.
After the race, all community members will enjoy a Family Festival, complete with music, entertainment, rides, food and more.
The Navigators Stamford KIC IT Triathlon has something for both athletes and their families and makes a perfect weekend destination race!
All proceeds go to Kids in Crisis, an emergency crisis counseling and residential shelter for infants, children, and teens.
Participants in the Olympic event will brave the Long Island Sound for a .9-mile swim, quickly mount their bikes for a 24.8-mile ride through North Stamford, and then will run through the streets of downtown Stamford to complete the 6.2-mile run.
The Sprint will be contested on portions of the Navigators Stamford KIC IT Olympic Triathlon, held the same day. This course promises to be fast, challenging, and fun!
This USAT-sanctioned race starts with the 0.8k (0.5 mile) swim taking place at Cummings Beach in Stamford. It will follow the same (but shorter) pattern of the Olympic Triathlon swim in the Long Island Sound.
The 22k (13.9 mile) bike course will feature the beauty of backcountry Stamford along with the excitement of downtown.
The 5.1k (3.2 mile) run will be a speedy jaunt throughout the city, and will have aid stations available.
