2014 Summer Open Sprint Triathlon:

The 7th annual Summer OPEN Sprint Triathlon is the kick off to the Colorado Triathlon Season, and we kick it off in style! It's time to dust off the bike and pull the wetsuit out of the closet for this Colorado spring classic. This race, the 1st stop on the Colorado Tour, takes place at Union Reservoir in Longmont! From beginners tackling their first event to veterans tuning up for a competitive season the Summer OPEN is about friends and teammates, smiling and cheering.

Men's or woman's cut technical t-shirts are back in our traditional Summer OPEN "Red". Great goodie bags, one of our biggest expos of the year, a ton of raffles, and closed bike and run course are just some of the highlights. This race is capped at 500 athletes to maintain a fun, yet lively, and laid back feel. Due to the low cap we've sold out the past 5 years so be be sure to take advantage of early registration.

SUMM
ER OPEN TRIATHLON SWIM COURSE (750 Meters):

The bike course is a three-lap course - each lap being 4 miles in length. The course is COMPLETELY CLOSED TO TRAFFIC!!! .  The bike course will take you out of the Union Park area and onto a very flat and fast course with no hills to speak of.  Please be sure to review the map as you'll be on the left hand side of the road on CR26 heading out then when you return after the last lap you'll come into the Res on the left hand side.

SUMMER OPEN TRIATHLON RUN COURSE (3.1 Miles):  The 5K run is an out & back course along the dirt road adjacent to Union reservoir, with only one short hill to climb just before mile 1.  On the way back dont forget to look just beyond the water and youll see a breathtaking view of Longs peak and many other snow capped mountains.  There will be an aid station at just past the 1st mile that you'll hit twice on the out & back course.

SUMMER OPEN TRIATHLON TRANSITION AREA: Without Limits triathlon staging areas are set up to ensure the safety and privacy of the racers and the security of their equipment.
