2014 Capitol City Triathlon:
- This is the 3rd annual sprint triathlon.
- There will be a beginner swim wave.
- This is a nice hometown race.
- This year registration will be different.
- First 65 people get in for $65 (includes a shirt), next 40 people get in for $70.
- After that the price will jump (TBD) Sign up soon.
Course Information:
Swim: 1/3 mile
- The race will start with an open water swim in the Merrimack river
- The river swim is up stream to begin with and at that time of the year it is barely moving.
Bike: 15 miles
- The bike ride is around the historic city of Concord NH.
- Here you will experience different terrains including riding down main street in front of the state capitol building, than ride up along the hospital area followed by a nice country ride around Penacook Lake.
- Once you come down the final hill you turn onto Rte 3 for a fast flat ride back to the NHTI campus..
Run: 5K - (3.1 miles)
- The flat and fast run will bring you around NHTI campus with at least 1 mile on their trail and the rest on the road over to Delta Dental.
