Event Location: | The event is in Dawsonville, GA., which is located in North Georgia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The avg. low temp for March is 35, and the avg. high is 62. |
Event Schedule: | Saturday...Early Packet pickup...location & time TBA. Sunday...7:00 am race day pickup begins & transition opens. 8:00 am races start |
Course: | The international distance is a 1.2 mile run, 28 (and a bit) mile bike with over 1000 ft of gain, and a 10K run with about 200 ft of gain. The Half Iron distance is the same 1.2 mile run, 56 mile (double loop) bike with over 2000 ft of gain, and a 13.1 mile run with almost 300 ft of gain. All in Dawson & Lumpkin County. All roads are open & fairly quiet. |
Entry Fee & Registration: | International Distance...$65 through 1/31, $85 afterwards. Half Iron Distance...$85 through 1/31, $99 afterwards. |
Event Cap: | The event will be capped at 250 participants. |
Course Cut Off Times: | All participants must be off their bike by 1:00 pm. The race course will close at 4:00 pm. |
Five Star Turkey Trot & Championships: | All participants will earn a free entry into the Five Star Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving, and top finishers will earn a spot in the Championships to be held in December. |
