Named "Best of Competitor 2013," the former "Rattlesnake Triathlon" has now joined forces with 5430 Sports, returning after a 4-year hiatus, after selling its very popular and highly regarded Boulder Triathlon Series. Participants will be enjoy a high quality, safety focused triathlon experience, with complete attention to the athletes. Great swag, cool t-shirt, finisher's medal, awards, post-race food, and more has always been the trademark of 5430 Sports. This will also include its trademarked, industry leading "Tri Sustainability" environmental focus. The Sprint race will also be the USA Triathlon Rocky Mountain Region Paratriathlon Championship.
Course Information:
A well protected and well supported swim is followed by a challenging - rolling hills - bike course. The bike course is entirely closed to traffic for the Sprint, with a small section of the Olympic course open to minimal local traffic. The run is out-and-back on a paved running trail, which is largely gently rolling. This is a true, challenging course overall.
Directions:
The Aurora Reservoir is South of I-70 and East of both I-25 and I-225, just East and South of Denver. It is under one hour from Boulder, an hour from Colorado Springs, and just over an hour from Fort Collins.
