The fun run movement has become an international phenomenon, with numerous races bringing tens of thousands of people in a single day. Last year our Foam Fest 5K run joined this exciting movement with nearly 85,000 participants throughout the entire country. Were looking into 2014 and asking; how do we create an epic and memorable experience whether youre greenhorn or a veteran foamster? Our answer: Foam Fest 2.0!
The Foam Fest 2.0 is coming the Atlantaarea on April 26th, 2014.Were supersizing our 5k course with 16 obstacles, a Festival Area filled with rides and games for spectators and runners, and of course topping it all with heaps of foam.
For 2014 we have spent a lot of time taking our race to the next level, says Ryan Cook, Round House Racings co-owner. We have added 6 new obstacles and redesigned another 12, all engineered for maximum thrills. More foam never hurts so we pumped it up by 50%. The worlds tallest inflatable slide, The Death Drop, will also remain in our arsenal of bucket list experiences!
What about the spectators? A revamped festival area makes the race just as memorable for those coming to watch! Our festival obstacle lineup includes a 20 plunge into a Hollywood-type stunt bag appropriately named SkyFall. A hard hat would be nice when you take on our obstacle the Wrecking Ball". There will also be a 50+ obstacle course, inflatable slide and foam-filled bounce house for the kids to whet their appetites for the Foam Fest. You dont have to run the race to have fun here, says Jacob Ballard Round House Racing Head Engineer.
Get your friends and start perfecting your bubble bath swan dive cause with 36 venues, were bringing the foam to a city near you. And keeping with our mantra of fun, fitness and philanthropy, a portion of race proceeds will go to help providing housing and basic necessities for orphans in 3rd world countries. Our charity goal for 2014 is to build a new home for orphans in Mexico!
A Child's Hope Foundation
Fitness is about achieving the best for yourself; charity is about helping others achieve theirs. Four years ago we set out to create runs and races focused around both fitness and charity. Knowing that the best companies are those that give back to their communities, we decided from day 1 to make philanthropy a core pillar of our business. Thanks to your participation in our 2013 events we were able to donate over a quarter of a million dollars to local charities nationwide. For 2014 weve set a goal to double our charitable contributions and raise $500,000. Were partnering with A Childs Hope Foundation (ACHF) to provide housing and basic necessities to orphaned children in developing countries. Together we are working to purchase land and construct new housing for infants, children and teenagers. Why orphans in 3rd world countries? Simply put because they have the least amount of support. These children rely completely on the aide of others merely to survive, let alone thrive. In meeting with these children we have seen their Everests of potential, and we saw firsthand how even a little help can make a huge impact. We know that you, like us, care about making a difference. We appreciate you joining our cause in making a dramatic difference in the lives of those who need it most.
